How listening to Music helps with Exercise 🚴🏻‍♂️

While I was on my run last night, it occurred to me how much listening to music helped with my exercising. Especially with running, listening to music seems to give me more energy. I can keep my pace with the rhythm / beat of each song. It also prevents me from noticing or listening to my heavy breathing or heart rate which would probably discourage me from running further as it would be evidence that I was getting more worn out. I wondered if there was any actual research done before that looked into if listening to music actually did help people with exercising…
