Exploring Chicago’s Wealth Divide
During the summer of 2020, I went on a road trip to Kentucky and into Chicago. When in Chicago, I got to experience both what it was like in the main city but also on the outskirts where some of the more affluent suburbs were located. After we spent a day in downtown Chicago I realized that most of the wealth of the city was probably located either right in the heart of downtown, or far away in more rural suburb areas. I decided to do a bit of research about the income inequality in Chicago.
